Satellite City Super T medium gap-filling CA glue and NCF Quick accelerator are great for quickly and effectively making many common shoe repairs. Often, a repair that would take hours using conventional methods can be completed while the customer waits, which saves time and gets you paid faster. Below are demonstrations of some key repairs which benefit from the use of Super T instant glue and NCF Quick accelerator, but don’t be afraid to try other applications!

Separated Soles

In this photo the cobbler shows a sole which is loose from the upper of a vinyl sandal. Satellite City instant glues work wonders on all vinyl repairs.

A sandal with a loose upper

A small amount of Super T CA glue is applied evenly to the loose part of the sole.

After getting the positioning just right, spring clamps hold the sole and the upper together. A light mist of the NCF Quick accelerator will cause the CA glue to cure in a few seconds, and the sandal can be worn out of the store.

Here the cobbler applies the Super T CA glue evenly on a separated sole.

The cobbler uses Super T instant glue on the cellular structure to ensure a great bond when it is pressed back onto the shoe

He presses the sole back to the upper, holding it in place and spraying the NCF Quick accelerator as he goes around the sole. Once sprayed, adhesion is instant. Avoid getting CA glue on your fingers.

Here is the completed project. Once reattached, the customer can wear the sandal right out of the store with no wait time. The bond is waterproof.

Bonding Nylon Webbing with Super T CA glue

Here the cobbler shows a piece of nylon webbing. Super T instant glue welds the nylon together and is better than stitching! The Super T is spread evenly on the piece to ensure a solid bond.

Raising the height of a heel block

Here the technician shows a shoe with a plastic heel block. Super T instant glue and NCF Quick accelerator can be used to quickly raise the height of a heel block. First, cut the heel stock to fit

Place the shoe onto the heel stock and press firmly with your hand and the weight of your body for fifteen seconds or so. Then trim the stock, and it is ready to be given back to the customer. The whole procedure takes a few minutes with no nailing required, and the customer can wear it right out of the store.

Re-heeling

Here the cobbler shows a man’s shoe which he will re-heel. Using traditional methods, the shoe would take all night to set up. With Super T instant glue and NCF Quick accelerator, however, it only takes about twenty-five minutes to repair and send back out.

First, apply the Super T CA glue to the heel area, making sure to get it around all of the cells.

Use a very small amount of Super T CA glue around the awl and spray with NCF Quick accelerator.
